By April 2008, anyone requiring a visa to come to the UK will have to
provide biometric information, consisting of scans of all ten fingers
and a full-face digital photograph. To provide this, applicants will be
required to apply for their visa in person at a UK visa office or Visa
Application Centre. Some countries have already introduced this
requirement to their visa application process and others will be
introducing it between now and April 2008.
